After the drive up to Mammoth, Cortney told us about some Hot Springs just outside of town. It seemed like the perfect remedy after the drive. We had no idea how beautiful the setting was and we had the pool all to ourselves!
The path down to the springs....
It was cold and windy out, but this made the warm spring water feel even better.
Really windy... made for some good hairstyles!
The weather changed somewhat for our second day!! This is what we woke to , but my parents hadn't seen snow in years so it was great timing. That morning the boys went to meet Steve and Jeremy for some gun fun! The range was near June Lake where Jeremy is from and there was no snow at all there...
Steve taking aim with his colt .45!
Mick (Dirty Harry)Dunn with the 9mm...
Simon using Jeremy's sniper rifle.
Jeremy firing the colt .45 and looking like the real deal!
This was our visit with Jeremy and Cortney to the gold mining Ghost Town of Bodie. In it's heyday during the 1880's it had a population of 10,000. We had no idea just how large this town would be and proved to be another great surprise on this trip.
All the buildings are maintained in a state of "arrested decay"... this cowboy (who looked remarkably like Jeremy..) is also preserved in a state of arrested decay!
British Clagg team take on the Schwind/Veenker team! In true Clagg form, Steve's plum moonshine was consumed throughout the game!
There might be some trash talking going on here...
Thanks to our wonderful and kind hosts . Steve, Carolyn, Jeremy and Cortney. It was a great time and hope to see you all this winter!

Looks like you had a fun time in Mammoth. I will have to tell you how to spell my families names sometime. None of us spell our names the standard way....sorry.
Well, you have our names spelled right now! It was so much fun having you guys! I hope you will come back soon so i can win at clagg. FYI the hot springs are open in the winter too!
yes.. my spell check (Carrie) informed me of a few mistakes which were quickly fixed!
