Colorado Fun Days!

We kind of befriended a couple in Evergreen who owned a llama farm. We went a couple times and got to walk, brush, pet, kiss, and play with the llamas!
Simon had the same haircut as the llama..
They are the most gentle animals.. and would run to greet us.. then stand inches from our faces and smell our hair!
Rockies baseball was a great summer activity...
Simon's backyard in Evergreen was a yearly day camp for Bambis'.  Almost every day the dear would drop off the babies and head out for food. We felt honored that she trusted us to watch her children.
At first, we thought the bambi was trapped in our yard or lost, so once Simon picked up the deer and lifted it over the fence... but then the Mother brought the deer back the next day. She would leave her young ones in the long grass as it was a safe place to leave them. Like day care.
There's a bird on his bum. I think Disneyland owned Evergreen.

This was our favorite campground in the Rockies. We camped next to the South Platte river, one of the best fly fishing rivers in the country. Unfortunately, I never did quite figure out how to catch the fish here!

Honeymoon 2008

After our fun, whimsical and brilliant May 31st wedding, we flew to Costa Rica for our Honeymoon. Costa Rica was amazing! There were animals everywhere! Sloths, monkeys, iguanas, raccoons, lizards an inch long, and unfortunately humongous snakes. It was very relaxing with surfing, swimming, hiking, and of course margaritas on the beach!
This snake was in the lobby ceiling! Seriously gross! And it was much bigger than this picture shows!

Right before I told Simon we weren't at a petting zoo, our honeymoon almost came to a quick end.
